Liz Johnston from Axmansford, UK mature couple 9/10

+/+ The warmest welcome ever, from the Proprietors - felt immediately 'at home'. Nothing was too much trouble.
-/- No chest of drawers to put clothes.

Cynthia from Canada solo traveller 10/10
+/+The staff is friendly and welcoming, willing to answer questions and simply chat if you want to. The next door restaurant has great local food and is also a good value for the money.
I especially appreciated the quiet interior patio as well as the street view from my little balcony.
Sarah from Birmingham, UK   9/10
+/+ Being a family run hostal, the service was excellent- very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door is wonderful too- simple, great food and cheap. In all great value for money. I loved our room with a little balcony over looking the little street below.
-/- Lack of tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms- but that's a very minor thing! But it seems that most hotels in Spain don't provide this facility.
Simone from UK   9.8/10
Very cute hostal in a nice little street with small restaurants and bars. Very friendly staff!! I will go again!! Would recommend.
Paul from UK   9/10
Clean, secure, nice rooms. Would recommend.
Isabel from Spain group of friends 8.6/10
The location of the hostel was very good, nice area. The staff was friendly and gave us recomendations about places to go out. The room was simple but clean and warm. The only not so good things were the lack of an elevator and that the bath was quite small but enough. Good value for money.
Anonymous, UK solo traveller 7/10
I felt very well looked after at this hotel. Everything is in keeping with its category and value-for-money.
Katherine from Keyingham, UK 10/10
Anne from UK family group 8.5/10
The hostal was great, centrally located, clean and friendly. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only slight critism was the breakfast which was very basic.
Magdalene from UK young couple 9/10
The staff were very welcoming and informative about the sites around town. They were very accommodating and instantly changed our booking for a double room instead of twin share. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and very filling. Breakfast was great too!
Paul from Netherlands Antilles solo traveller 9/10
Hospitality very good. Nice place to start activities
Juergen from Germany solo traveller 9.2/10
Very good value for a fair price. Staff is very friendly. My single room was tiny but tidy and clean. The breakfast is something that could be improved even though it could have been worse, too. Location is great for the city - if someone likes sea view - sorry, wrong location, but hotels on the sea side will charge you twice or three times the price. I'd recommend to ask for a room on the second floor if you are touchy with hearing music, or worse: the bass of it, until the restaurant closes. On the other hand the area is free of traffic noise as a compensation (except the crazy scooter drivers as anywhere in Spain)
Dennis from Quebec, Canada 8.3/10
Was great for value. Good spot and the staff were great. Adding an elevator will be eventually a good idea.
Dennis from Quebec, Canada 8/10
Just as I had read before!!
Susan of London, UK 10/10
Lovely place, very central, very friendly, very clean, will definitely use again.
Hazel from Chavannes-des-Bois, CH 8.5/10

Sabine from Germany group of friends 9.3/10
Digje from Holland solo traveller 9/10
Hostal Loreto is a historical building in the middle of Denia, near by the beach, shops and harbor. The staff are very friendly and they really want to make your stay unforgetable! The room was really nice and complete, with airco, TV (a flatscreen!), fan and hair blower. Breakfast is served in the restaurant in the same building. You can also have lunch and dinner there. The food was really good and the service in there was very friendly. My stay in Denia was great because of Hostal Loreto! Liked — The friendly staff and the comfortable room.
Ferry from Holland group of friends 8.6/10
Nice hostal, friendly personnel. I would recommend this hostal to everyone who is planning to go to Denia. The restaurant, which also takes care for the breakfast, is very good as well.
Helen Ingram, Forest Row, UK 9/10
Sanita from Latvia young couple 10/10

Ludwig from Baarle Nassau, NL group of friends 8.5/10
+/+ Nice staff
Hans from the Netherlands mature couple 9/10
In a quiet street in the middle of Denia is the Hostal from Matty and Douglas and their family, a nice-quiet-clean and friendly place for starters and worldly travelers. It is very close to everything, the castle the shops and the harbor. Parking is available nearby. All rooms are recently renovated with airco and a TV and safe deposit box, also the restaurant has very recently a complete new look. Even the night porter was friendly when knocking on the door at 6AM and he is available to open the front door the whole night.
+/+ The building and the people who run it.
-/- None
April from New Zealand young couple 9.3/10
I highly recommend this hostal! The location is perfect, and the staff were absolutely fantastic, very welcoming, and eager to help. I have never had a better reception and would love to go back to stay. Our rooms were very clean, with comfortable beds and lots of room. Thank you for making our short stay enjoyable.
Tom from the USA solo traveller 8.6/10

Michael from the USA group of friends 7.2/10
The private room was clean, as was the associated bath. Located in the city center, it's an easy walk to restaurants, the waterfront, etc. Neighborhood was good -- felt very safe.
Brianna from the USA group of friends 9.3/10
I absolutely loved this hostel. It was perfectly located in a gorgeous building and had fabulous clean rooms. I wish all hostels were like this. I think it's the best one I've ever stayed in as far as character. If you are going to Denia definitely stay here.
Frank from Wirral, UK mature couple 7/10
We enjoyed our three night break at this hostal. It's in a good location and offers very good value for money. Rooms are being renovated and we had a very good bathroom and a state of the art television. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If returning to Denia, we would certainly stay here again
+/+ Location and price. Friendly welcoming staff and good location. Very good bathroom and heating.
Michael Jordan, Harlow Essex , UK solo traveller 8.1/10
+/+ friendly staff- central location
-/- the parking!
Stephan of Belfast, Northern Ireland solo traveller 9.2/10
I had a fantastic time in Denia, a beautiful town and I made loads of new friends. Hostal Loreto is set in a very pretty pedestrianised street with loads of typical tapas bars and is only a short walk from the busy port area. You can sit outside in the sunny street, people watching or relax in the shaded courtyard area. The barman was very friendly, helpful and quite funny. My room was extremely small but well equiped with TV, ensuite, air-con and free wireless internet. The only problem, it is very difficult to get a car anywhere near the Hotel which makes getting suitcases in and out difficult. The Hotel has it's own carpark but I think there is a charge for that. I can't rate the food/dining as I used the many other nearby tapas bars and restaurants. Overall brilliant value, if I go back to Denia, I will stay here again.
Bryan from USA group of friends 10/10
We loved Hostal Loreto. The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were fine. The restaurant was great and we ate there both nights.
Stephen from USA
Beautiful hostel right in the heart of Denia. Clean and safe with A/C and real close to the beach.
Brian from Higher Kinnerton, UK solo traveller

Despite the temporary lack of cafe / bar, the girls at reception had access to bottles of chilled water to rehydrate guests after 35 degrees of heat outside. As a single person in a foreign country I felt very at home and relaxed - and Denia is a great old town to stay in. There’s loads of bars and cafes a few minutes walk away.
+/+ Attractive old-style character building with good architectural features. Good size single room with aircon and large en-suite.
-/- Nothing to dislike.

Antonio from Corato, Italy young couple
Really good! Very nice staff, very nice room, the hotel is located in a very central area of Denia.
Sarah from Leeds, UK group of friends
The friendliness and kindness shown to us on this visit was highly appreciated and i would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a reasonably inexpensive place to stay.
+/+ cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
-/- difficulties experienced in parking.
David from Sutton Coldfield, UK group of friends
The hostel was everything I needed for a short stay. Good value for money and I would visit again given the opportunity. Good quiet location, good room facilities especially the air conditioning, friendly and informative reception staff.
Robert from San Miguel, Spain mature couple
We had a lovely time at Denia part of which was due to the hostal and the quality breakfast provided. The only slight criticism I would make is that the car park exit is very tight.
+/+ Nice room good situation in nice part of the town.
-/- Nothing
Ann-Kristin from OSLO, Norway mature couple 9/10
+/+ The hospitality and it is placed nearby "everything"!
Lani from USA organised group 9/10
It´s a great place to stay if you want to get to know the city of Denia. You´re right in the center with plenty of cafes to eat at and cute tiendas to shop at very nearby. If you are wanting a place right on the beach this is not it. If you like the Spanish culture and exploring a new city Hostal Lorento is a wonderful place to escape to.
Keith from USA mature couple 8/10
A good overnight hotel in a prime central location.
Lisa from Bournemouth, UK solo traveller 10/10
Although Loreto describes itself as a hostel, it was an amazingly high standard to any hostel that I have seen or stayed in before. The owners, the owner’s family and all the staff were very friendly and very helpful, this was especially important for me being a lone traveller. Therefore I would recommend Loreto and Denia itself as a very safe place for any female travelling alone.
+/+ Very friendly, made to feel welcome and at home.
-/- None, all was excellent.
Gillian from Sutton, UK 8/10
Small friendly hostal with character, very clean.
Linda from Cleckheaton, UK mature couple 10/10
Peta from Argentat, France mature couple 10/10
+/+ Friendly staff, excellent food and the hotel was in a lovely old part of town away from the mad hustle and bustle of the sea front.
-/- Really cannot find fault with the hotel at all.
Francine from Bristol, UK young couple 10/10
We thought the owners and staff were excellent and although listed as an hostal, it felt much more like at least a three star hotel. It was clean, friendly, very very comfortable, in a superb location and we could not possibly think of any improvements.
Derek from Stainton, UK mature couple 7/10
Location very good. charming old building. very pleasant helpful staff. and nice restaurant/bar.
John from London, UK family w/children 9/10
Right in the heart of beautiful Denia, this historic convent and school has been converted into a delightful, quiet, unpretentious Spanish "Hostal". The owners - a Scottish/Dutch couple and their young family - really do everything possible to look after their guests. The rooms are comfortable and are all being upgraded with aircon. The restaurant is small but offers interesting, varied and great value for money menus, and there is a lovely courtyard for leisurely meals on sunny days. Despite foreign ownership, this place is becoming increasingly popular with the locals, which is always a good sign.
It is on one of the main pedestrianised streets in the centre of town - so no nasty traffic noise and with eveything in easy reach with a short walk. Parking - normally a problem in Denia - is available for a modest charge in a locked compound just along the street.
Great value and highly recommended.
Yvonne from USA mature couple 7/10

Michael from State College, PA, USA organised group 9/10
Denia is a cute little town. Hostal is an ex convent, very clean and neat, but there is no elevator. The staff was very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this hostal
James from Tullibody, UK solo traveller 8/10
The general location of the hostal is good. The area was very old and gave a sense of being in real Spain. The staff at the Hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the quality of the restaurant food far exceeded my expectations. The recent refurbishment and addition of the restaurant have been tastefully and sympathetically done and this added to the courtyard makes dining a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The air conditioning in my room was great and absolutely essential during my stay.
Linda from Cleckheaton, UK mature couple 8/10
We enjoyed our stay at the Hostal Loreto and look forwarding to returning in the near future. The location is excellent, service was excellent, the Food was excellent and we would recommend the Hostal to anyone wanting a central location at very reasonable prices.
Ray from Little Rock, USA family w/children

-/- you didn't tell me it was on a closed to traffic street!
